If you do want to live close to, but not in, the city centre then great alternatives are areas such as Nørrebro, Østerbro, Vesterbro and especially the beautiful harbour area of Christianshavn.

Finally, if you want to stay at a bed and breakfast in more quiet surroundings, then you can book your stay in suburbs such as Amager, Frederiksberg and Valby. These areas offer a much more calm environment, but at the same time provide quick and easy transportation to the city centre through taxi, bus or metro.

Price range for bed and breakfast in Copenhagen

Price per person for staying in a bed and breakfast is usually between 70 to 120 US Dollars. If you are travelling as a couple, then the price for the second person will usually not be more than 10 to 20 Dollars more. Breakfast is nearly always included and if not, can be purchased for a very fair price (around 50 to 100 Danish kroner).

Bed and breakfast can usually be found upon arrival. However, due to the small number of rooms, each place fills up quickly. Considering this, you are adviced to book your stay at least a couple of days in advance.
